Our story
If a tool says an email is urgent, it should tell you why.
I'm Johnny Mobley. I started building systems for other people in 2000, when I was 16, and I've been doing it ever since. Along the way I automated most of my own work, and the tools I built for myself became these companies. Each one runs on rules I wrote down, not on paid AI calls, which is why it can cost so little.
Inbox sorters decide what matters and rarely say how. I built MailguyAI's priority score so every point is visible: a deadline word adds points, a question adds points, a reply in a thread adds points, a no-reply sender or a newsletter takes points away.
It is a short list of written rules, not a trained model, and it runs in your browser, so the email you paste never leaves the page. Today it scores one email at a time; it is not yet a service that sorts your inbox for you.
What works today
- Scores how urgent an email is from its sender, subject and first line, and lists each reason with its points
- Runs entirely in your browser; the email you paste is not sent anywhere
What it doesn't do yet
Mailstrom still does things MailguyAI doesn't:
- Connecting to your Gmail or Outlook and sorting it for you.
- Rules that learn from where you move mail.
- Bulk cleanup: unsubscribing and deleting by sender.
- A daily digest of what was filed away, and snooze or follow-up reminders.
